The finished deck planking firmly held down while the glue dries
Wooden clothes pegs make very handy clamps and can easily be modified for special jobs. Large flat rubber bands are also very useful for holding things in place. Here the rubber bands are being used to hold down the deck planking and the pegs are clamping down some planking strakes at the edge of the foredeck.

Those cotton ends will trimmed off with a knife later.
